Take You There by Sean Kingston

Monday, February 25th, 2008

Today we’re taking a look at upcoming singer Sean Kingston!

Born Kisean Anderson in Miami Florida, the now 18 year old music star was predominately raised in Kingston Jamaica and you may have guessed, his stage name of “Sean Kingston” is an homage to his Jamaican roots which were sewn when he moved to the country at the age of six.

US fans first took notice of Kingston when he burst onto the music scene in 2007 with his hit single, Beautiful Girls which had a strong lyrical and melodic association with Ben E. King’s 1961 classic, Stand By Me. If you’re achin’ to see what Sean has been up to lately, check out Take You There.

New iTunes Top 10 Sidebar Widget

Saturday, February 23rd, 2008

It took us the majority of the afternoon, but after a lot of trial and tribulation, we were able to put something together to keep YOU in the loop with a list of the current iTunes Top 10 Songs!

Now we can’t say that it’s out of the BETA phase ’cause well, it was never really in it. But if there are some features you’d like to see on it, or it’s not performing quite the way you think it should, drop us a line and let us know. We’ll certainly do our best to do something about it!

And on a programming note, we’re pretty surprised that there we couldn’t find a plugin available for Wordpress that allowed you to take a RSS feed and publish it to your site. But I guess if “they” thought of everything, there wouldn’t be anything left for us to do.

American Idol on iTunes!

Thursday, February 21st, 2008

Even though the current season of American Idol is only a few weeks old, the new contestants have already belted out really memorable hits.

(Despite what Simon may have to say to the contrary).

And starting now, if you want to grab that music so you can listen to it any place you go, you can just hop onto Apple iTunes!

Apple iTunes

Immediately following the weekly FOX broadcasts, you can pre-order your favorites and you’ll receive an email as soon as the performance is available for download. Music performances will be available for $0.99 per song starting with the Top 24 semi-finalists this week, and full video performances of the Top 12 Finalists will be available for $1.99 starting March 11th.

Why don’t you get started by listening to that awesome version of Daydream by Jason Castro?

iTunes Rentertainment

Friday, February 15th, 2008

On the official iTunes website, it is now being said that you can rent movies directly from the iTunes store to be stored and viewed from your personal “i” device such as your iPod, iPhone or Apple TV.

The selection of movies shouldn’t be a problem with the big studios lending their support including but not limited to Fox, LGF, MGM, Miramax, and Disney. Rental prices are pretty similar to what we’ve been used to with other movie lenders at $2.99 for regular releases and $3.99 for new releases. And if you need to watch something in HD on your sweet TV, that’ll set you back $4.99.

Plus, Apple seems to be keeping up with current “no late fees” trend by simply having the rentals “disappear” after their 30 day window. Not only is the “return” effortless, but you shouldn’t have to worry about deleting the movies off your hard drive either.
